March- the month for high expectations and the beginning of spring! It can’t rain all the time Wildlings and the blue skies are coming, we just have to hang on a little longer…

If you are not ready to face the outside world just yet, the theme for comics to curl up with this week definitely seems to be revivals!

After the swing and miss Disney+ film , the Eternals are back! Eternals: The Heretic shows us Thanos as the ruler of the Eternals! But surprisingly he’s not actually the worst leader that the Eternals’ society has ever seen. No, that honour belongs to someone even more horrific….meet Uranos, the Undying. And may the Celestials have mercy on your souls….

Stealing Oz #1 (if you can’t guess from the title) follows the iconic Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion and the Scarecrow as they embark on a life of crime in our world and can only be stopped by the ones who know them best: The Tin Man (and Tik Tok). Part Point Break, part The Godfather, mashed up with The Wizard of Oz - magic and mayhem collide to create the perfect crime and it's disgustingly enjoyable!

If you enjoyed the ‘What If’ Marvel series, you will enjoy Fantastic Four Reckoning War: Trial Of The Watcher Series. This new comic shows us that there is only one "What If" world that Uatu has avoided watching – one "What If" that he never wished to see, and that will now be revealed. It’s a story that could damn him for eternity...and a revelation that could change everything in this universe….

But if you want something brand new to check out, my recommendation this week would be Playthings #1! I absolutely love the art style on this one and the story follows Alison Hart who wakes up inside a bright candy-colored room to discover that she’s tied down with licorice! Small toys around her move because they’re alive, and her hands are no longer real. She struggles to piece together the surreal and horrific events that led her to this place and more importantly what has happened to her young daughter. Gory yet delightful!

Now, I was a little late to the scene with the Netflix series Big Mouth, but their new spin-off series ‘Human Resources’ debuts today and it looks even better! If your favourite characters are the hormone monsters, the love bugs or the Shame Wizard then you will be as excited for this as I am!

There is also a new movie landing on Disney+ today that you may have been anticipating…. Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones star in ‘Freshand the plot twist of this whilst being controversial with the times has me hooked to watch this! I can’t remember the last time I watched a good horror movie but this looks SO good!

Finally, as for the gaming world, the cutest game of the year award (so far!) has to go to The Cruel King and the Great Hero which is now available on Nintendo Switch and PS5, a young girl raised by a dragon and the twisted fairy tale that got them there. The artwork and gameplay is just beautiful and a must I think for any JRPG fan looking for a new pastime!

If you're a fan of the animation but want something a little more mature, Paradise Killer makes its way onto the next gen consoles too with new quests and a ramped up resolution! I’ve never been one for crime solving games but Paradise Killer seems to have its own devoted fan base so I'll be interested to see how this goes down…

I am sure RPG fans are rejoicing this week, as on top of both of these games we also have a new Final Fantasy instalment in Stranger of Paradise. A new origins tale, Jack must face numerous challenges to bring the light of the crystals back to Cornelia, but will this usher in a new world of peace or a new form of darkness? It seems no matter how many times they retell this tale we are in !

With so many rehashes and reboots this week is it time for a new franchise to be in the spotlight? Or are you happy to see some fan favourites given new life ? Let us know in the comments!
