Brand new publisher bursts onto the scene with something

to excite comic fans, YA readers and Anglophiles alike.

Having established themselves as a presence at U.K. comic cons over the last six months, Wild River Comics are ready to launch their long-awaited Kickstarter campaign for their first title, Daughters of Albionissue 1!

Co-creators Denis Phan and Trevor Jayakody have been working tirelessly behind the scenes with artist Matt Timson, colourist Marco Lesko, letterer Jim Campbell, and editor Martin Eden to get this first issue ready.

“This is an exciting time for Wild River Comics, and we’re glad to finally share some of what we’ve been working on,” says co-creator, writer and head of Wild River Comics, Denis Phan.

Daughters of Albion #1 introduces readers to an alternate London where magic and technology co-exist. When cyberpunk hacker Hashani discovers a magical amulet dropped by two strange beings, she and her friends start to uncover the mysteries of Albion, which has been simmering beneath the surface all along.

"As soon as I met the team and heard what they had planned, I wanted to be a part of it,” adds editor Martin Eden. “Daughters of Albion is just the beginning, and I look forward to introducing readers to this new world we’re creating.”

Wild River’s Kickstarter campaign begins on April 21 with some early-bird incentives for their initial backers, along with a number of rewards tiers to suit all tastes and budgets.

Readers can support Wild River at the most basic levels to receive a digital or print copy of Daughters of Albion #1, right through to special super-fan packages and the opportunity to be drawn into a future issue of the series!

Issue 1 comes with a variety of cover options, from the standard cover by artist Matt Timson, through to variant covers by Junggeon Yoon, Piotr Kowalski and Pye Parr.

According to Trevor Jayakody, co-creator of Daughters of Albion: “Our plans for Wild River are quite ambitious, which is why I’m so proud to be launching this new range. The whole team are giving it their all, and we’re busily working away on other titles.”

Fans who have met the crew at conventions, or are just discovering them today, can head to DAUGHTERS OF ALBION KICKSTARTER PAGE to check out the campaign and pledge their support on Kickstarter.
